River’s Edge Winery, in my beautiful home-state of Oregon, reached out to me about using an image of one of my paintings on one of their wine labels. Additionally, not only was I thrilled about the contact, but they were also hoping to name their special release wine after the painting: Cascade.

Of course, I happily agreed.

It was a joy to watch this bottling and labeling through, as my history in the Oregon wine world had begun years before and my love for the wines from that realm rest very near and dear to my heart. And even beyond the excitement of knowing my image was going on the label, the magic inside the bottle was even more mind-blowing: a rosé of Pinot Noir, Pétillant Naturel, which I first got to taste on the banks of the Umqpua River itself.

Tyler Bradley at River’s Edge Winery and Bradley Vineyards was a thrill to work with, and I look forward to any future projects of labels . . . and bubbles.
